Winds delay Queen of Burnaby testingFebruary 18, 2012The Queen of Burnaby, tipped to return to service on Monday, may be delayed until Tuesday because of the weekend weather. The vessel was meant to undergo sea testing on Saturday. "But due to the high winds, they can't flood the drydock," explains BC Ferries spokesperson, Deborah Marshall. "They are now planning to undock tomorrow so essentially we are delayed 24 hours." Further updates are expected throughout the weekend. It's now been two weeks since the Queen of Burnaby was pulled off the Comox to Powell River run, due to mechanical problems with a propeller. |
