Account Executive - Vista Radio Ltd. BC Coast Group
Vista Radio is positioning itself for growth in our Coast Group of radio stations (Port Hardy/Port Alice, Campbell River, Powell River) and we are accepting resumes for an Account Executive. Successful candidate(s) will be responsible for selling radio advertising to local businesses. Sales experience is preferred, but you will have access to some for the best Radio Advertising Sales training in the industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
You would be responsible for selling, creating and maintaining radio advertising campaigns for the clients on your list. This includes:
-Prospecting for new clients
-Research into clients businesses and industries
-Setting appointments to meet with clients You will be expected to see several clients every day with the goal of moving that business forward in the selling cycle.
-Creating appropriate advertising campaigns and proposals
-Closing the sale
-Building and maintaining client relationships based on service and trust
-Collections
-Prepare daily or weekly reports to Sales Manager
-Participate in station events as required
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
-High level of initiative
-A valid drivers license and reliable automobile
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Aptitude and ability to absorb and apply analytical data
-Conceptual, creative thinker and problem solver
-Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel
-Must enjoy and excel in a fast paced work environment
